Treasures Of Ladakh
Duration: 5 Nights/6 Days
Day 01: New Delhi - Leh by air (9W 609 -Time of Dep at: 0545; Arr at: 0700 hrs) (IC 431- Time of Dep at: 0600; Arr at: 0715 hrs)
- Assistance on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
- No activity on your first day of arrival as it is recommend for tourists to relax and undergo minimal exertion to enable them to get acclimatized to rarefied oxygen level in this high-altitude region ensconced in the high Himalayan plateau.
- Overnight at the hotel in Leh
Day 2: Tour of Hemis, Thiksey and Shey monastery and Shanti Stupa
- After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45 kilometers west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh.
- From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk.
- After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh.
- Later in the afternoon, we will then drive to visit the Shanti stupa to catch the entire view of Leh city with the Indus River, we will spend some time to catch the sunset and then return to the hotel.
Optional: To attend the prayer ceremony at Thiksey monastery performed in the assembly hall starting at 0530hrs followed with a pack breakfast.
Day 3: Leh: Tour to Oracle followed An Introductory Tour to the Ladakhi Village and a Cuisine with the local families
- Today after breakfast, we drive to visit the Oracle lady at Ayu village after that we continue our drive to Saboo village as you know, besides the unique landscapes and the ancient monasteries Ladakh is also renowned for its friendly people and their warm hospitality. In order to experience that, we suggest the following program especially tailor-made for you.
For a closer insight into Ladakhi society, we offer travellers an opportunity to spend time with a local family in Saboo, a quaint village. Saboo is located twenty minutes drive from Leh, on the old caravan route to Nubra Valley. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the family followed with a stroll around the village and then a lunch at the traditional house with the family.
We then return to Leh

Day 4: Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh
- Today you will be woken up early, we will carry our picnic lunch to continue our drive to Pangong Lake, is the largest and an extraordinary lake situated at an altitude of 4300 meters, it is reached after crossing the Chang la pass (5320 meters) and driving along the dusty track. The lake is surrounded by snowy mountains mirrored in its crystalline waters shimmering in an amazing range of blues and greens. On arrival, we will spend some time in order to allow you explore the lake and to click as many photographs to carry back home the memories.
- We will then drive back early to reach Leh before the sunset.

Day 5: Day tour to the World's highest motorable road Khardong La (5570 meters) - Leh
- After a leisurely breakfast, drive to the world's highest motorable road Khardong La, during our drive we will make several halts in order to allow you to refresh and time to take photographs. On reaching the top, a photo session and then drive back to Leh.

Day 6: Leh - New Delhi by air (9W 610 - Time of Dep at: 0740; Arr at: 0855 hrs) (CD 432- Time of Dep at: 1050; Arr at: 1205 hrs)
- Today you will be woken up early in the morning, after a hot cup of tea/coffee you will be driven to the airport to connect your flight to New Delhi, this will be your last opportunity catch the spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges
